The Grand Lodge of Indianas best records begin in 1848, although there are a few records going back to 1818, the year the Grand Lodge was founded. The information from our records may include the following: member's name and Lodge, Masonic history (degree dates, Lodges where memberships were held, demits, suspension, offices held) and date of death. For records prior to 1848, birth dates and lodge degrees are scarce.

If the member was a prominent member of the community, held public office or was a Grand Lodge Officer, there may be an individual file on him in the Lodge historical file.
